NAMPA, Idaho -- A Nampa teen died in a car crash early Saturday morning when a BMW filled with nine people left the road and rolled several times, police said.

At around 5:15 a.m. state police were called out to a single vehicle rollover crash on Orchard Ave. just east of Lake Ave. in Nampa.

Arriving troopers found an overturned BMW passenger car filled with eight passengers at the bottom of a dry canal alongside the roadway, police said.

Officials investigating the crash said that the driver, Freddy Camacho Quezada, 21 of Caldwell, had eight passengers inside his car, adding that alcohol was a contributing factor in the crash.

Camacho Quezada was sped through the intersection of Orchard and Lake, failing to stop at the stop sign. He then lost control of the car, which went off the north side of the road and started to roll.

The car rolled a few times and came to a rest on its top, sitting at the bottom of a dry canal.

One of the passengers, identified as Stephanie M. Rodriguez, 15 of Nampa, died at the scene from injuries she got in the crash.

Both Camacho Quezada and Evan Musquiz, also 21 of Caldwell, were driven to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center. Another passenger, a 17-year-old female, was flown to St. Alphonsus by helicopter.

Four other passengers - three females, (ages 14, 15 and 17) and Luis Padilla, 21 - were driven by ambulance to West Valley Medical Center in Caldwell.

The last passenger, identified as Alexander Billos, 19 of Nampa, was not taken to the hospital.
