SPOILERS: 35-year-old former champion reportedly set to return to WWE after 3 years at WWE Crown Jew

Crown Jewel 2023 is around the corner, and the hype for the event is palpable. The stacked card has managed to bring back the kickoff section, allowing a smooth flow of the event. Moreover, The Pirate Princess, Kairi Sane, has been reported to make her WWE return at Crown Jewel.

A few reports about Sane’s return have been popping up on the internet for a while now. On the night of SummerSlam 2023, PWInsider reported that Kairi has come to terms with WWE to see herself in the company. Three months later (now), the same outlet reported that she would be in WWE way sooner, as early as in Crown Jewel 2023.

Earlier this week, Fightful provided reports on Kairi’s re-signing with WWE. While WrestleVotes added that she is even visible on the internal roster of WWE, All these reports add up to a solid confirmation for the former Tag Team Champion to hit the WWE rings again, with high possibilities at Crown Jewel 2023.

After what feels like months of speculation, I’m told Kairi Sane has reappeared on the internal talent roster. Her return to the company is imminent.

Kairi’s time away from WWE saw her in NJPW and STARDOM. In late 2022, she became the inaugural IWGP Women’s Champion by defeating Mayu Iwatani. Later, her stint in STARDOM also ended in October, when she competed in a six-woman tag team match at Nagoya Golden Fight 2023.

Will Kairi Sane confront Iyo Sky for her WWE Women’s Championship?

WWE Women’s Champion, Iyo Sky, is about to complete 100 days with the prestigious title. As she goes into Crown Jewel 2023, she will defend her title against Bianca Belair for the first time. As speculated, the champ is mostly to retain her title, but later on, she could have Kairi Sane lined up.

Sky would face a threat from the returning star and could add a Japanese angle to build the rivalry. Also, it would make sense to come back home and indulge in the Japanese style after defeating The EST of WWE. With Damage CTRL on Sky’s side, Kairi can also back up some babyface stars.

Iyo has overcome the two original contestants for the championship over the past few months with the help of her faction. But as she faces Bianca, the champ she cashed her Money in the Bank briefcase on, Damage CTRL will again help her out. Thus, her win would be scored to have Sane confront her.
