Talents, Gears, And Team Comps
Eula is the best and only physical-based Hypercarry in Genshin Impact. She is capable of dishing out very high bursts of damage but requires proper support and build to reach that level.
In this article, Gurugamer is going to showcase a complete guide for Eula in Genshin Impact 3.4, including talents, gears and team comps.
1. Eula Talents Priority & Constellations
Burst >= Normal Attack >> Skill
Elemental Skill | Icetide Vortex
Eula’s Elemental Skill is a simple slash that deals Cryo damage. Your Tap E gives you Grimheart stacks that you can expend on your Hold E to gain more damage. At 2 Grimheart stacks, your Hold E grants Physical and Cryo resistance reduction on enemies, which helps you deal more damage.
Her Elemental Skill's innate Res Shred is the basis of why she is such a top-tier Physical damage carry and competitive hypercarry in general.
Elemental Burst | Glacial Illumination
Eula's Burst is a charged-up time bomb. After you cast it, you have seven seconds to gather Lightfall Sword stacks by using your Normal Attacks, Elemental Skill, and Elemental Burst. After the 7s duration is over, the Burst will explode, dealing AoE Physical damage based on how many stacks you have gained.
A crucial thing to remember is that players gain stacks based on the number of hits that deal damage to an enemy. If a normal attack input has 2 hits, Eula would gain 2 stacks.
Normal Attack | Favonius Bladework – Edel
As mentioned above, Eula's Burst requires a high number of hits from her NA to gain stacks, which means players need to learn Eula's normal attack combo.
Overall, the N4D (4 normal attacks + dash cancel) is the best and most efficient combo for Eula's Burst. N2D (2 normal attacks + dash cancel) is the second best.
Ascension 1 Passive | Roiling Rime
- If 2 stacks of Grimheart are consumed upon unleashing the Holding Mode of Icetide Vortex, a Shattered Lightfall Sword will be created that will explode immediately, dealing 50% of the basic Physical DMG dealt by a Lightfall Sword created by Glacial Illumination.
Giving hold E a massive instance of extra damage at 2 stacks. Synergizes well with the second passive.
Ascension 4 Passive | Wellspring of War-Lust
- When Glacial Illumination is cast, the CD of Icetide Vortex is reset and Eula gains 1 stack of Grimheart.
This is an example of a well-done passive. This Ascension Passive allows you to perform the fast combo of E Q Hold E, or E Q Hold E Nx, and still get maximum damage out of your Hold E, even when you start at 0 Grimheart stacks.
Constellations
- C1: Decent extra Phys damage for Eula's Burst (requires players to consume Grimheart stacks from E).
- C2: Very situational increase for Eula's ER.
- C3: A massive increase to Eula's Burst damage. As it is her main damage tool, this constellation is one of the best.
- C4: Fairly mediocre, as Lightfall Sword does not often explode when enemies are sub-50% HP.
- C5: Very small DPS gain as her A1 passive explosion scales on her Burst talent.
- C6: This Constellation is absolutely insane. It allows Eula to generate much more stacks for her Burst with her combo. Eula’s Elemental Burst caps out its damage at 30 stacks, and C6 is the only way you can hit that threshold.
2. Eula Best Weapon & Artifacts
Best Artifact set
4pc Pale Flame is Eula's best set by a huge margin. This set is made for her, and ever since her release, it has kept its standing as the best set for Eula. 25 Physical DMG% at base, with 25% more and 18% ATK on a condition that Eula can trigger consistently in her Burst rotation with E Q – Hold E is huge.
- Sands: ATK% > ER%
- Circlet: CRIT Rate%/ CRIT DMG%
- Goblet: Physical DMG%
Substats:
- ER% (until you can comfortably Burst off cooldown)
- CRIT DMG%/CRIT Rate%
- ATK%
Best Weapon
- 5-star: Song of Broken Pines: It is no surprise that Eula’s signature weapon would be BiS for her. Highest base ATK and Physical DMG% substat with more ATK% steroids in its passive all benefit Eula greatly. Not to mention, the ATK SPD buff means your combos are a lot easier to perform.
- 5-star Alternative: Redhorn Stonethresher, Wolf’s Gravestone, Skyward Pride, The Unforged
- 4-star: Serpent’s Spine
- 4-star F2P: Luxurious Sea-Lord
- 4-star Alternative: Akuoumaru, Lithic Blade, Snow-Tombed Starsilver
3. Eula Best Team Comps
Eula has only one type of team comp - Superconduct. It consists of Eula, a superconduct source, a Cryo battery, and a Flex unit.
Superconduct
- Fischl applies a consistent, long-existing Superconduct with minimal field time.
- Raiden buffs Eula's Burst damage and Energy Regeneration. Also has very high on-field damage.
- Beidou has great off-field damage than Fischl but requires more investment and skill. Players usually need to run another Electro battery for her.
- Kuki Shinobu is a sidegrade to Fischl, with good defensive ability but lower damage.
- Lisa is actually not that bad as Eula's support, as she has DEF shred.
- Yae is an upgrade to Beidou in a Eula team. And similar to Beidou, she will also need a battery as her Burst has a very high cost.
- Dori is a decent character to support Eula, with on-demand Superconduct applications, healing and flat energy regeneration. However, her damage is rather low.
Cryo Battery
- Diona consolidates much of Eula’s needs in one neat, cheap, 4* package. She has a shield, heal, and great battery potential.
- Rosaria is the more offensive option to Diona’s defensive with strong ER and crit buff.
- Shenhe is the more expensive version of Rosaria, with good ER, damage boost and Phys Res Shred. She is also a 5-star which requires much higher investments.
- Kaeya is a very slightly inferior option to Rosaria in a Eula comp. The best part about Kaeya is that he is free.
- Layla is similar to Diona utility-wise but has a much better shield.
Special mention: Mika, an upcoming character in 3.5, might be a great support for Eula. His whole skill set is designed around healing (which Eula needs), and Physical damage bonus (which for now benefits only Eula). The attack speed buff from his Skill is also fairly usable for Eula as well. His Cryo element also allows him to battery Eula and give her Elemental Resonance.
Flex slot
- Bennett is the universal support whose ability can definitely benefit Eula.
- Xinyan can be pretty good with her Physical DMG boost and C4's Physical Shred.
- Zhongli is another universal support that Eula team can use. His shield provides excellent protection for a melee fragile character like Eula, while his Res Shred increases Eula's damage.
- Albedo is yet another unintrusive off-field DPS that just works.
- Yelan's A4 gives a huge DMG% buff that synergizes with Eula’s backloaded damage.
