CHICAGO (TND) — A United Airlines flight headed to Los Angeles had to be diverted to Chicago after leaving New Jersey Wednesday due to a safety issue, according to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
The FAA saidFlight 1533 landed safely atChicago O'Hare International Airport around 7:40 a.m. local time after the crew reported a security issue.
A passenger on the flight posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, that someone allegedly went into the bathroom and made a bomb threat on the bathroom window. They added everyone on board was forced to leave their bags on the plane.
